T-Mobile is the “best” carrier in the United States when considering connection speed and reliability PCMag‘s Annual Comparison of Mobile NetworksThe result of which was released today.

PCMag It drove more than 10,000 miles through 30 cities to test connection speeds from AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. In terms of net speeds, T-Mobile won 19 cities, Verizon in nine, and AT&T in two, with Verizon achieving the highest download speed at 3,891 Mb/s. T-Mobile had an average download speed of 264.4 MB/s across all tests, Verizon’s average speed of 156.8 MB/s and AT&T’s average speed of 79 MB/s. T-Mobile also had average upload speeds that beat Verizon and AT&T.

T-Mobile has improved its service in rural areas, although it still has more data dead zones outside the rural Northeast than Verizon and AT&T. T-Mobile had the best 5G coverage because of the Sprint acquisition, which came with mid-band spectrum, but AT&T and Verizon may catch on at some point in the future.
