samsung announced today The launch of the T7 Shield, the latest addition to its T7 line of portable SSDs. The T7 Shield is designed to be Samsung’s most damage-resistant SSD, with superior durability for both indoor and outdoor use.
The T7 Shield features an IP65 waterproof aluminum casing that can withstand rain and dust, as well as providing crush resistance and drop protection up to 9.8 feet.
A rubberized exterior surrounds the aluminum to keep the SSD secure, and because it’s the size of a business card, it’s ideal for use on the go. It comes in black, beige and blue.
The T7 Shield boasts read speeds of up to 1050MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s, which Samsung says is up to 1.9 times faster than SATA-based portable SSDs.
According to Samsung, the T7 Shield is compatible with PCs, laptops, mobile devices, game consoles and more. It costs $160 for 1TB and $290 for 2TB, and is Available on Samsung website,
