Talking about multi-core performance, Apple’s new M2 chip is up to 20 percent faster than the M1 chip. Leaked M2 Benchmark The upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro was discovered on Geekbench today.

Running at 3.49 GHz, compared to 3.2 GHz for the M1, the M2 achieved a single-core score of 1919, which is about 12% faster than the 13-inch MacBook Pro M1’s single-core score of 1707. The M2 achieved a multi-core score of 8,928, which is 20% higher than the M1’s score of 7,419.

Apple has said that the M2 chip is up to 18 percent faster than the M1, so the Geekbench 5 test is in line with Apple’s claims.

M2 chip for metal benchmarks 30627. scored, a marked improvement over M1’s score of 21001. The m2 chip offers up to a 10-core GPU as against a maximum of 8 cores.

The M2 chip is available in the new 2022 MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro. Apple hasn’t revealed when the MacBook Air will launch, but the new MacBook Pro will be available for pre-order starting Friday, June 17.
