Apple releases iOS 15.5 with Wallet and Podcasts updates
After nearly six weeks of beta testing, this week Apple publicly released iOS 15.5, iPadOS 15.5, macOS Monterey 12.4, watchOS 8.6, tvOS 15.5 and HomePod software version 15.5. Apple also released a software update for Studio Display with improvements to the webcam.

Apple Introduces iOS 16 Accessibility Features Like Apple Watch Mirroring
This week, Apple previewed new accessibility features that will be available with a software update later this year across all of the company’s platforms. This most likely refers to iOS 16, macOS 13, and other updates to be announced at WWDC next month.
New accessibility features include door detection, Apple Watch mirroring, new VoiceOver languages, Live Caption on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and more.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed this week that Apple accessories like AirPods, MagSafe battery packs, and the Magic Keyboard/mouse/trackpad trio will switch to USB-C “in the future.”
Kuo shared this prediction days after claiming that Apple plans to launch at least one iPhone 15 model with a USB-C port instead of Lightning in 2023, something EU regulators are pushing. Huh.
Apple headphones are about to be completed as soon as we get the demo on board
Apple’s long-rumored AR/VR headset appears to be in the final stages of development, as Gurman reported this week after Apple’s board of directors recently received a demo of the device.
According to Gurman’s report, Apple has also accelerated development of software running on the headset, calling the platform “RealityOS” or “ROS”. The headphones are expected to launch in 2023.
We’ve also heard rumors of a new HomePod and a higher-end version of the Apple Studio Display.
