Apple today released a new ad Highlighting the durability of the device when exposed to various conditions of use for Apple Watch Series 7.
In the ad, titled “Hard Knox,” several scenarios are played out of people intentionally or accidentally exposing their Apple Watch to various weather conditions, liquids, and physical effects.
Some examples include: someone jumps from a height into a swimming pool, someone runs to the bus and claps their wrist in the door, and a person falls while ice skating.
“Longest running Apple Watch ever,” reads the ad’s tagline, which is 1 minute 38 seconds long and features music by Jack White, “Power of my love.”
According to bloombergApple is working on a version of the Apple Watch “with a rigid case” aimed at athletes, hikers and others who wear the watch in more extreme everyday situations. It will have the same functionality as the standard Apple Watch, but with greater impact resistance and protection. Apple is expected to launch the rugged Apple Watch in 2022.
