MacBook Pro M2 now available
Apple began accepting orders for the new 13-inch MacBook Pro last Friday, with some custom configurations with upgraded specs already running ahead of August delivery estimates.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro has a similar design to the previous model, including the Touch Bar. The only noticeable change is the addition of the M2 chip with an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. Apple said the M2 chip has an 18% faster CPU, 35% faster GPU, and up to 40% faster Neural Engine than the M1 chip.

With the M2 chip, the 13-inch MacBook Pro can be configured with up to 24GB of integrated memory, compared to a maximum of 16GB for the M1 chip. Like the previous model, the laptop also supports up to 2TB of SSD storage.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro continues to be priced at $1,299 in the US, with Silver and Space Gray color options available.

Apple is yet to announce an order date for the new MacBook Air with the M2 chip.
